We welcome new Papal Nuncio Appointed to Ireland
His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has appointed Archbishop Jan Romeo Pawłowski as the new Apostolic Nuncio to the Catholic Church in Ireland. This appointment follows the retirement of Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor last July. Originally from Poland, Archbishop Pawłowski brings a wealth of diplomatic experience to his new role. Over the course of his distinguished ministry in the Holy See's diplomatic service, he has served in numerous apostolic nunciatures across the globe, including the Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, Thailand, Brazil, and France.
Annual Remembrance Mass
The annual Mass commemorating those whose funerals took place at Holy Family Parish Church over the past year (mid-October 2025 – 17 October 2026) will be celebrated on NEXT Sunday, 8th November at 10:00 a.m. Who: Families and friends of the deceased are warmly invited. Hospitality: Refreshments will be served after Mass.
PARISH CHOIR: The parish choir is currently seeking new members. We sing during the 10:00 am Sunday Mass, as well as during other parish liturgies. Choir practice takes place in the church on Mondays from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. If you are interested, please contact Elizabeth on 087 220 9055.
WHEN POPE LEO XIV blessed a block of ice taken from a melting glacier in Greenland, it was a clear sign that he would continue Francis’s care for our common home. But, Lorna Gold, Executive Director of the Laudato Si Movement, argues, he’s not just repeating Francis: he’s embedding integral ecology more deeply in the mainstream theology and spirituality of
the Church.
