LAY MINISTRY APPEAL – THIS WEEKEND

Lay Ministry Sunday, and the Associated Lay Ministry Appeal, takes place on the weekend of May 2/3 and will replace the Share collection. This year’s theme is Building faith-filled communities. Leaflets on Lay Ministry are available on the tables near the exits.

A video has been provided by the Office of Mission & Ministry for this weekend’s collection, highlighting the various ministry programmes that are available. This video can be viewed on Facebook and on YouTube.

Table Quiz on Tuesday 28 April

 A word of appreciation and thanks to Eimear and Paula and all  who promoted, facilitated  and  organized and took part in  the Pub Table Quiz at the Grange Pub last Tuesday evening .  Special thanks are due to quiz master, Cllr. Dan Carson, as well as  to the Management  of the Grange for the use of their premises for the venue. Proceeds are in aid of the church roof repairs. € 1,362 is the net income of the event . The Quiz prize was € 100  to the winning table. Thanks to generous donors, attractive  prizes were  won  in the raffle  after the Quiz .   

 

Novena to the Holy Spirit
You are warmly invited to join once again with every parish in the diocese in a Novena to the Holy Spirit – our dedicated period of prayer, reflection and planning for the renewal of the Church in the Archdiocese of Dublin.

The Novena will take place in the nine days from 17th – 25th May beginning on the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, through Pentecost and continuing to the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church.

Novena resources are being made available on the diocesan website

On Monday 11th May, in preparation for the Novena, you are invited to gather in the Monastery of St Alphonsus, Drumcondra, for prayer drawn from the Novena Prayer Booklet with music led by the Dublin Diocesan Music Group.
