Collections during Mass on Sundays/ Holydays - Dublin diocesan policy directs those two separate collections be taken up during the Mass- the First Collection for the priests of the parish and the diocese (Common Fund) after the homily and the Second Collection (Share Fund) after the intercessions. The Share collection is sometimes replaced by a special collection as announced.

 

Parish Support Fund- weekly donations

Your weekly donations (Voluntary Family Offering) are vital for the running expenses of the Parish. This Parish Fund is used to pay salaries, the bills for lighting, heating, insurance, repairs and general maintenance.

Please put what you have been giving for the running of the Parish into the BLUE BUCKETS on the tables beside the doors either before or after Mass.  The upkeep of the Parish depends on this fund.  You have been very generous with your contributions to the parish upkeep fund. Thank you.

 

Summer Dues: Donated to date € 4,975. Thank you.

Roof Repairs; -Thank you for your generous contributions to the church roof repair fund.  To date, €12,120  has been donated. € 74,000 approx is total cost. Work will resume towards the end of August. Your continued support is very much needed and welcome.

 

The coffee/ tea dock will be closed for the month of August for ongoing maintenance at the Resource Centre.

 

Legion of Mary: Promotion 13/14 August

To mark the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Legion of Mary, members of the Legion will attend all the Masses this weekend and they will distribute information about the work of the Legion of Mary and the times of their meetings in local parishes.

The statue of Our Lady and the Legion Vexillum and the banners of Frank Duff and Edel Quinn will be on display in the church.

Funeral Ministry Team Every parish is encouraged to have a funeral ministry team consisting of religious and lay, men and women, trained in providing support at a time of loss, to organise a Christian funeral that the Church offers the bereaved. Funeral Ministry Team may visit the bereaved family either on their own or with the priest, deacon, or parish pastoral worker to sympathise with the family, to bring the peace and hope that the Gospel has to offer and to assure the bereaved family that the parish community is praying for them. They will also bring the Scripture Readings and sample intercessions for the Prayer of the Faithful which will be used during the funeral ceremony. They may help in choice of the appropriate readings and prayers. The diocese is committed to providing ongoing training to funeral ministry teams both centrally and locally. If interested in joining the Parish Funeral Ministry Team, please contact one of the parish clergy.

LEGION OF MARY CENTENARY CONCERT-To mark the 100th year anniversary of the Legion of Mary, a concert will take place in St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, on Saturday, September 3. Special guests include award winning soprano Celine Byrne, the Dublin Concert Band, Lorraine Mathews. Book at Eventbrite. Tickets are €30 (premium – seating in reserved area) and €20 (general admission)

Summer Dues 2022.   Envelopes are available near the exits in the church.  Please return the envelope with donation into the big safe in the church west aisle or into the parish office, which is open Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. €4,760 has been donated to date.
