Parish Mission Statement

Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.

CHURCH COLLECTIONS 18/19 DECEMBER 2021.

Regular Collections will be reinstated from the 4th Sunday of Advent. 18/19 Dec. 2021. There will be two collections during Mass.

The First Collection (For Priests support & Share) will be taken up after the homily by a volunteer using a black bag 39” fixed on a pole to ensure social distancing.

The Second Collection   (For the upkeep of the Church & Parish facilities) will be taken up after the “Prayers of the Faithful” in a manner like the First Collection.

Explanations:

You may continue to use the printed envelopes with black print (Common Fund) Priests support, envelopes with red print (Share) and put them into the black bag on the pole during the First Collection. Or you may put in “Loose cash” if you wish.

“Loose Cash” in the First Collection will be divided 60% for the Priests fund and 40% for the Diocesan Share fund. You might opt to use the “Tap & Go” devices in the church ( with a credit/debit card ) instead of putting money in the 1st collection bag ( 60% Priest 40% Share ). Income from both Common Fund and Share goes directly to the Archdiocese. The 2nd collection (VFO ) remains in the parish for the upkeep of the church. The envelope with navy print may be used or you might prefer to donate loose cash. If you are already donating by Standing Order to your bank account, please feel free not to contribute to this collection at Mass. Tap & Go cannot process donations to this fund or for Christmas Dues.

CHURCH CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM

It is expected that work on restoring the church heating system will begin in mid-January 2022.

Thank you for your kind understanding and generosity.
