Newsletter 8th / 9th February Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Parish Mission Statement

Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.

Visit the Lourdes Grotto, at the Oblate Fathers, Inchicore in honour of the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on Tuesday 11th of February. This Grotto, a replica of the Grotto at Lourdes, was completed in 1930 mainly by volunteer labour for the people of Ireland who could not afford to travel to France. Many thousands attended the opening ceremony.

In honor of this great feast, there will be a Lourdes Mass at 7 pm followed by a torch-lit procession. Fare €10. A bus will leave the Holy Family parish church and Sallynoggin churches at 5:30 pm to travel to Inchicore. Please avoid disappointment by booking early and paying for seats in advance. Please come and join us on this special night. Contact Maria Monaghan 01 – 2856069.
