Parish Mission Statement

Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.

 

PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY

 

To mark the conclusion of the week of prayer for Christian unity (2020).  A Service of Prayer and Song, led by the Rev. Alan Breen, Rector, Kill O’ The Grange (C.of I.) Parish will take place at 4.00 pm on Sunday 26th January 2020 in this Church (Holy Family).  All are invited to attend.  Refreshments will be available after the service.  This is an occasion for Christians to come together to offer praise, worship, and thanksgiving to the Lord.

 

VACANCY FOR PARISH SACRISTAN

St Patrick’s Church, Monkstown, Co. Dublin.

Monkstown Parish is currently recruiting a Parish Sacristan. This role is offered initially on a one-year fixed term / part time basis.

The Role: To provide a high level of support to the Parish Priest and Parish Team in the general running of the Parish for approximately two days a week.

Requirements:      

The ideal candidate should have a track record of reliability and a flexible approach working in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with the public. Knowledge of the Catholic Church and its liturgical rituals would also be desirable.

Applications should be made to Fr. Kevin Rowan, Parish Administrator, Co/ Parish Office, Monkstown Parish, Carrickbrennan Road, Monkstown, Co. Dublin enclosing a Curriculum Vitae and cover letter no later than Friday 21st February 2020.

The Faustinum Association of Apostles of Divine Mercy

A preliminary programme is offered to help people understand the life, the mission and the spirituality of St. Faustina, and to appreciate the prayer “Jesus I Trust in You” at the bottom of the Divine Mercy Image.  Fr. Eamonn Bourke, chaplain at U.C.D is the Spiritual Director

  • Next sharing thoughts on what was said or happened years ago
  • Finally, praying for the grace to respond to what the Lord is saying to us now, personally and collectively.
  • Come, on Friday after 10am Mass for about half an hour (unless there is a funeral)
