HOLY FAMILY PARISH - KILL-O-THE-GRANGE

Parish Mission Statement

Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.

Thank You

Frs. Michael O’Connor, John Killeen, Rev. John O’Neill (deacon) and the parish staff together with the Holy Family Parish Community wish you blessings and joy during this Christmas season as well as a very happy New Year in 2020.

Thank you to everyone who puts money into the CHRISTMAS DUES envelopes and places them in the safe.

Huge numbers of Dues cannot be allocated to parishioners because of insufficient information on the envelope.

Please print your surname clearly, house number and street name.  Many thanks.

Holy Family Parish Baptismal Team invites those baptised at this Church during 2019, together with their parents, God Parents and family members to Mass at 12.00 noon 12th January 2020 when we recall the Baptism of Our Lord and to give thanks for our own baptism.

LORD BLESS OUR HOME

20 + Jesus + Mary + Joseph + 20

There is a custom in parts of Europe to bless homes as a new year begins.  Ask God to bless your home.

Lord Jesus, you said “Make

your home in me as I make mine in you

Lord, welcome to our hearts and to our home.

Lord, we thank you for our home.

Bless our house and keep us safe.

Bless each one in our family, so that we may create a happy home for one another.

Lord, bless the rooms where we relax and chat together.

Lord, bless our bedrooms.  Embrace us in your love and refresh us as we sleep.

We thank you for our kitchen and for our food.

We thank you, Lord, for water.  May we use what we need and never waste what we don’t need.

Lord, bless the outer doors and windows. Protect us from bad weather and from intruders.

Lord bless our garden with flowers to smile at us and birds to sing for us.

(Sprinkle the outer doors and rooms with holy water).

Let me pray, Our Father … Hail Mary …

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,

Immaculate Heart of Mary,

We consecrate and entrust our family to you.

Protect us and grant us peace. Amen
