Parish Mission Statement

Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.

New Habits, Same Faith.

“Political institutions and various other groups are also entrusted with helping to raise people’s awareness [of environmental issues]. So too is the Church.  All Christian communities have an important role to play in ecological education”.  So says Pope Francis (Laudato Si, 214). This education can take place in a variety of settings, including in the family and in catechesis, he points out (213).  This is why our parish environment group is trying to develop awareness within our parish community of how ecological concern has now become an integral part of our Christian witness and lifestyle, and why, in the Pope’s words, this awareness “must be translated into new habits”. He is a champion of charismatic renewal and is an Ecclesial Assistant to Charis, a new unified international service for Catholic Charismatic Renewal, commissioned by Pope Francis and launched in 2018.  Listen to an interview with Fr Cantalamessa at www.NewPilgrimPath.ie .
