Wasting away?

Avoidable waste (which we are all guilty of, in one way or another) is a form of injustice. In a world of scarce resources, it is an injustice to the poor. In a world threatened by environmental degradation, it is an injustice to the creation and to future generations.

Lord, help us to make better use of the goods you have given us by wasting less of them, especially food.
