Thinking globally, acting locally

Pope Francis, echoing the Second Vatican Council, reminds us that “peace, justice and the preservation of creation are three absolutely interconnected themes” (Laudato Si, par. 92). Every ecological approach must incorporate a social perspective which takes into account the fundamental rights of the poor and the underprivileged (par.93). So the work of our parish St. Vincent de Paul conference locally and of Trócaire globally are part of the same Christian vision of a more just and peaceful world that we try to express through our parish environmental activities.  Can you give a little of your time to these or similar good causes?
