TROCAIRE – Lenten Collection 2026

This year, the Lenten Collection for Trocaire ( boxes & other donations ) amounted to € 3,220.  It has been banked and will be forwarded to Trocaire. Thank you for your generosity .

 

Archbishop’s Pastoral Letter at Pentecost 2026

Together with an accompanying document “Process for the Modification of Parishes for Mission” is available near the church doors.

These documents   are   important towards the mission of the Dublin Diocese and its parishes partnerships & its parishes into the future.

 In his Pentecost PASTORAL LETTER, Come, Holy Spirit, Fill our Hearts with the Fire of Your Love,  Archbishop Dermot Farrell invites parishes of the diocese to reflect on their future and the other document is a template for discussion in parishes on modification.

 Thank you for being with   us as we remembered and celebrated the memory of Sr. Clare Setright, our Parish Sister, at her Months Mind Mass 5p.m. on Saturday 30th May this weekend .

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available after the 5.00 p.m.  Mass this Saturday.

 

Pope Leo xiv has published the first encyclical letter ( major teaching letter ) of his Papacy ( 25 May 2026 ). Archbishop  Dermot Farrell has issued a statement welcoming Pope Leo’s letter Magnifica Humanitas/ The Grandeur of Humanity.

“The letter is aimed at safeguarding humanity at a time of artificial intelligence. At its heart is an appeal to all people of good will  to work together to ensure that AI will be developed and used  in ways that promote ‘human flourishing’ and help us to build a better and more just world”.
