Parish Partnership Name
In excess of 20 names were submitted from the 5 parishes with a good deal of thought entered into by those submitting these names.
it was agreed that the partnership name should have a geographical theme-The Deansgrange Partnership was decided upon. Deansgrange equidistant from all 5 parishes, is a well known neighbourhood to all parishioners, is identifiable by name throughout the diocese and not least many parishioners from all 5 parishes are laid to rest in the cemetery there. The point was made that so many of the people buried there had probably funded the building of all our churches.
It was agreed that we will consider adding to the name “Under the patronage of?- a patron saint- at our next meeting. Paul will advise the Diocese of the name of the Partnership. ( Meeting of Partnership on 13 Jan 2026 at Holy Family K O’the G Creation Laudato Si
Creator God, you have generously blessed us with an abundance of gifts in this, your world. Help us to share in that generosity by living in a way that ensures that your gifts will continue to be available for future generations.
O God, give us your love for the whole of Creation.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 18-25 January- See copies of the Archbishop’s letter on the tables near the church doors. It is a week of prayer for the gift of unity among Christians.
The theme chosen, “One Body, One Spirit, is inspired by St Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling” (Ephesians 4:4)
“The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is a privileged moment of prayer, encounter and dialogue. It is an opportunity to recognise and receive the richness and value that are present in the other, the different, and to ask God for the gift of unity.” From Archbishop
