Bakers Pedestrian Right of Way
The right of way through Bakers to the church grounds has been a matter of discussion with the builder since the development commenced a few months ago.
During construction, the builder from a risk and security point of view intended to close off the right of way for the duration of the build. It was recognised by the builder and the parish that this would cause inconvenience to many parishioners who use this passageway daily. An alternative route through the old Garda Station has been investigated by the builder with DLR, the owners of the Garda Station. While a route has been identified and is physically possible the builder’s request. In the meantime, the builder cleaned up the right of way and cordoned it off for continued use on a temporary basis. As the development will cross over into the area of the right of way for services and other works, it will be closed off in time, possibly around the end of February ’26, or maybe sooner should issues arise.
Please be advised that the right of way as part of the planning permission will be reinstated on completion of the development, which is due to be completed September 2027.
Altar List of the Dead 2025 lists & envelopes are available on the tables near the church doors. Please enter the names of your relatives & friend etc. and return the envelope to church safe/sacristy/office.
Mass for those on Altar list is offered at 10.00 a.m. on the First Friday of each month circumstances permitting.

THE ENVIRONMENT In his message for the 10th World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, Pope Leo XIV invited believers to see themselves as active seeds in God’s project of renewal. He urges Christians to make Isaiah’s prophesy tangible through concrete acts of restoration, both environmental and social. The people emphasised that the ’cry of the earth and the cry of the poor are one Sand that caring for creation is ‘a duty born of faith’ because in Christ al l things were created and redeemed.
