The Blessing of Easter Food will take place at 11 am on the morning of Holy Saturday, 4th April 2026, in the main Church.  This wonderful tradition has its origins in the Slavic Countries.  The food that is Blessed is the food that we have been abstaining from and fasting from during our Lenten observance.  Households bring a small basket of food, which typically contains meat, a boiled egg, bread (home-baked if possible), and may also include pastries and treats.  The food is consumed on Easter Day.  At the Church, we add a small crucifix to recall the Easter Event and a small Candle signifying the Light of Christ.  Typically, the Service takes about fifteen minutes.  All are very welcome to participate.

GOOD FRIDAY CHILDREN’S STATIONS OF THE CROSS AT 12 NOON.

Each year some of the children of the parish help us to celebrate the stations of the cross. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CELEBRATE. Practice details: Holy Thursday 2nd April 2p.m. – 4 p.m. in Main Church. For further information, contact Elizabeth Gregan at 087220955.
