BLESSING OF THE EASTER FOOD
The Blessing of Easter Food will take place at 11 am on the morning of Holy Saturday, 4th April 2026, in the main Church. This wonderful tradition has its origins in the Slavic Countries. The food that is Blessed is the food that we have been abstaining from and fasting from during our Lenten observance. Households bring a small basket of food, which would typically contain meat, a boiled egg, bread (home-baked if possible) and may also include some pastries and treats. The food is consumed on Easter Day. At the Church we add a small crucifix to recall the Easter Event and a small Candle signifying the Light of Christ. Typically, the Service takes about fifteen minutes. All are very welcome to participate.
St. Patrick's Day & Sacramental Gifts
We are delighted to announce that the Parish Shop will be open this coming Sunday after all morning Masses. Whether you are looking for a special St. Patrick's Day card, items to celebrate our patron saint, or gifts for upcoming Confirmation and First Holy Communion celebrations, please do stop by for a browse. It is a wonderful way to support the parish!
