WHY SUNDAY MATTERS- from the Irish Bishops

“As we journey together through this Jubilee Year of Hope, we, the Irish Bishops, warmly invite all Catholics to reflect on the profound gift of Sunday Mass. This special year offers a unique opportunity to rediscover the heart of our faith and, for those who have been away, to return with renewed joy to the celebration of the Eucharist.”   Please read the Irish Bishops’ new pastoral message, Why Sunday Matters – An Invitation to Reflect on Sunday Mass (four-page PDF). It is also available in Word format.

An introductory video and a four-part video series titled Sunday Mass – Digging Deeper can be found at catholicbishops.ie.

PARISH FUNDING

To further assist in donating to much-needed parish funds to cover everyday expenses and the exceptionally high maintenance costs, QR Donation Labels have been placed around the church for parishioners’ convenience.

Donating in this way can be completed as follows,

  • Using your phone camera, scan and click the QR Code.
  • Tap the Payzone link that is now visible.
  • On the self-select menu screen, select your donation amount and proceed to the payment screen.
  • Enter your bank card details and confirm payment.

Your continued financial support is greatly appreciated, as every euro donated helps boost the much-depleted and dangerously low parish finances.
