Crosscare is the diocesan agency that exists to support people and families when they face difficult challenges in life and when they find it hard to get the help they need. Crosscare focuses on helping people when they need it most or when they cannot find support anywhere else.
The SVP September collection raised € 1107
last weekend Thank you for your generosity.
annual Diocesan Safeguarding Sunday will take place next Sunday 28th September. It's a time when we reflect on the importance of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in our parishes and communities. It is also an opportunity to inform the community of the great work that your parish does to ensure your parish is a safe place for all.
Peace with Creation The Season of Creation has as its theme “Peace with Creation”, inspired by the passage from Isaiah 32:14-18; “My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.” In a world of challenges and division, marked by war and climate change, how can we as people of faith create and work towards peace with creation?
The Season of Creation has a special significance for the Catholic Church, particularly since the late Pope Francis established 1 September as an annual World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. The Season of Creation is marked throughout the Christian world from 1 September to 4 October (Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi) and celebrates the joy of creation as well as encouraging awareness-raising initiatives to protect the natural environment.

WHY SUNDAY MATTERS- from the Irish Bishops
“As we journey together through this Jubilee Year of Hope, we, the Irish Bishops, warmly invite all Catholics to reflect on the profound gift of Sunday Mass. This special year offers a unique opportunity to rediscover the heart of our faith and, for those who have been away, to return with renewed joy to the celebration of the Eucharist.”
Please read the Irish Bishops’ new pastoral message, Why Sunday Matters – An Invitation to Reflect on Sunday Mass (four-page PDF). It is also available in Word format.
