Fire Protection System – Appeal for Funds

The Diocese has notified the parish that its current  Fire Protection System does not meet the essential health and safety requirements. As a result, a new system must be installed at a cost of just over €50,000. Additionally, the company will charge an annual service charge of approximately €2,700 for maintenance. Currently, the parish does not have enough funds to cover this significant expense.

In addition to this there is a quotation of €13,000  approx. for church roof repair from the roofers Skyline Ltd. Therefore, any contributions to help the parish meet this necessary cost would be appreciated as is your generosity.

Laudato Si Quotes on the Environment

A Spirituality which forgets God as all powerful and Creator is not acceptable.  In the Judaeo-Christian tradition, the word ‘creation’ has a broader meaning than ‘nature’, for it has to do with God’s loving plan, in which every creature has its own value and significance.  “(Laudato Si ,76)”

Road Works – affecting Church entrance/ exit

Due to ongoing public road works near the church at Kill Avenue there will be only one entrance exit available for vehicles until the work on the road near the grounds is completed. The current entrance /exit is beside the Parish Resource Centre.

Please be alert to the signage provided for the entrance/exit to the church grounds. This unavoidable inconvenience which will last for some time is not under Parish control.
