On May 24 was the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’. When the late Pope Francis released this prophetic encyclical in 2015, he invited the entire world to hear the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor—and to respond with courage, care, and community.

Across the globe, participants of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform have taken bold, creative steps to live out the Laudato Si’ Goals:

  • In South Sudan, plastic bottles become bricks for homes—offering economic opportunity and ecological renewal.
  • In India, students collected and dried mango seeds for distribution to farmers, supporting reforestation and biodiversity through a large-scale planting initiative.
  • In Italy, religious sisters transition to biodegradable materials, showing how daily choices can reflect deep ecological spirituality.
  • In the United States, volunteers support migrants and offer legal aid—integrating care for the poor into ecological mission.
  • In Chile, communities gather across generations to plant thousands of trees in an expression of both environmental and spiritual unity.

The total amount raised during the Trócaire collection for Lent 2025 was €3,320. Thank you for your generosity!
